Belmont Mansion in Gold

My first view of Belmont Mansion as I walked into the campus from Wedgewood Avenue. It was about 30 minutes before sunrise.

I wanted a frontal view of Belmont Mansion, so I set my camera up in the drive that circles in front of the mansion. It was about 28 minutes before sunrise.

I decided to get a close-up photo of the glass in the front door of Belmont Mansion. My first photo was a bit dark, but I kind of liked the simply high-lighted design.

I set my camera about 18 inches from the glass in the front door of Belmont Mansion. There were a few, dim lights in the hall behind the door which gave the red some pop.

This is one of the lions guarding the entrance to Belmont Mansion.

I was about 1/4 of the way down the path leading between Belmont Mansion and the Bell Tower to make this photo.

This was the view I had of the Bell Tower when I turned 180 degrees from the previous photo of Belmont Mansion.

Then entrance to the Prayer Chapel which is in the historic Bell Tower. The tower was initially used as a water tower until 1928 when it was a carillion of 23 bells were installed to create a "singing tower."

This statue faces the walkway on the east side of the garden in the middle of campus at Belmont University.
