Belmont University
Belmont University has wonderful architecture with lots of associated history. The mansion was completed in 1853 by Adelicia Hayes Franklin Acklen Cheatham and her husband Joseph Alexander Smith Acklen. After she sold the mansion in 1887, it was purchased in 1890 by two women who opened Ward-Belmont academy for women. It later became present-day Belmont University. The mansion on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. This gallery is some of the images from the campus and historic structures.
